JOAN MARBECK Muti grandi merseh

Mutu grandi merseh pra ngkontrah kung yo, isti Blogu. Agora, pidih lisensia skibeh na Ingles.

I hope I will be able to convince and inspire many who will read this webpage the importance and urgency of saving the Malacca Portuguese Heritage which is vital to the survival of the Eurasian people in multilingual Malaysia. Of foremost relevance and at which I am labouring zealously everyday, is to resurrect, register and develop the ever evolving Kristang Language. This is like putting a voice to a face. The Malacca Creole Portuguese community MUST be IDENTIFIED with a language, just as the Chinese, Malay, Indian etc.who each have their spoken as well as their written language.
When will the time come for us to say, that we demand Pupils own language ( or Mother Tongue) to be taught in Malacca schools first. A demand of ONLY 15 students is all that is required to push for a Kristang language class to be set up in a public ( Government) School. BUT.......we do NOT have any teachers qualified to teach this language yet. Middle-age native speakers of Kristang who have been trained teachers, should be identified first and then giving the opportunity to be trained as Kristang Language Teachers. There was a promise by Alan Baxter and University of Macau/IPOR to organise these Training Courses.Unfortunately , the Global Crisis has wreaked havoc with all good intentions and initiatives. I still am positive that the Kristang Language will see its way to the top.
Please colloborate with me and several enthusiastic Kristang friends of Malacca and support the Celebration of the 500th. Anniversary of the Arrival of the Portuguese in Melaka. ( 2009 -2011 ) I have NO cooperation from the Regedor or his Panel in the Portuguese Settlement but I believe, I need to show them the way and this I will endeavour to do thro' thick and thin. I enjoy organising Feastivities and I want these 3 Year Celebration to be the biggest one Malacca Eurasians, the diaspora of Eurasians and Malaysians have ever experienced.

    E o nosso governo?
    Estará esquecido de Malaca?
